Little Flatiron Building in the Meatpacking District

A group of us had dinner at Vento in the Meatpacking District tonight. I was quite taken with the building but didn't really know its history until I found the pic above on Flickr (via Wally G). Turns out it's known as the "little Flatiron building" and has been used in a number of films. It was Glenn Close's apartment building in Fatal Attraction, and Ed Harris jumps out of the north corner in The Hours.

Vento, the restaurant we went to, was superb. The pizza was particularly good, as was the apple crisp we had for dessert.
